Sometimes I don’t have anything important, thoughtful, or interesting to say, and I post about food. This is one of those times.
We got these Ahi Tuna steaks at Trader Joe’s for $5.00 the other day. This is how I turned that bargain into a yum-tastic dinner using a really simple marinade made of stuff we keep around the house:
- 1/4 c. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp. oregano
- 1 tbsp. basil
- 1/2 lemon
- 2 cloves garlice
- 1 tsp. salt.
Those marinaded for about 30 minutes before Trent popped ’em on the grill–just a couple minutes each side. We added zucchini and squash we’d picked up at the local Farmer’s Market for a side (cooked in a little EVOO with oregano, basil, garlic, and onion).
And it was yum-tastic.
On a side note: I would really love to have a little herb garden. We’ll see…
