I am a college instructor, an administrator, a Guardian ad Litem, an animal lover & advocate, an avid reader, a TV Junkie, a social media addict.
Born in the Windy City but basically raised in the great state of South Carolina, I’m a Conway High School survivor, Winthrop University graduate (twice–in English), lover of Southern American literature and Mafia movies. Poet of the unpublished. A Chicago Cubs fan from birth.
I am a lifelong learner. I seek the truth. I believe that, in the words of Mark Twain, “It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so.”
My favorite movie is Life is Beautiful. In the original Italian. I cry for at least an hour straight every time I watch it. Current “can’t miss” show: The Walking Dead.
Married to Trent, Family Guy fanatic and fixer of all things broken, including (sometimes) me. A “truly good man, one that with all my heart I can love and honor–one who loves me for myself alone, and with an unselfish, patient, gentle affection such as I never thought to waken in an human heart.” (The words of Anna Bronson Alcott on her wedding day in 1860, which were read at our wedding as part of the ceremony).
“Mom” to two dogs: Penny, the guard dog, and Bonnie Ray, the huntress, both spoiled rotten and loving (almost) every minute of it (minus the minutes where they don’t get their way).
I write because I think. And I don’t know any other way.

You look SO cute in those pony tails 🙂
I love the name of your dogs, especially Bonnie Ray. I feel like I got to know a little after reading this. Great “About Me!”
